Spring Fever

I love this time of year
It brings happiness and joy
It's a time for love and friendship
Its a time for sharing

Spring is the most wonderful time
The flowers shoot up
The air smells nice and fresh
And the world seems at a top

This time of year is for two people
To be together, love, live and laugh
You can walk hand in hand
With that special someone

You can pick pretty flowers
Lay on a blanket in the woods
This season is for truth
The time when you wonder

A Wish

If I had a wish, just one to wish
I'd wish for love all over

If there was war, with all hate
I'd wish for love all over

If everyone got divorces
I'd wish for love all over

If my love wasn't enough to share?
I'd wish for love all over

If disease phathomed the world?
I'd wish for love all over

If the planet rolled off in space
I'd wish for love all over

If Christmas never came?
I'd wish for love all over

If you didn't love, which you do?
I'd wish for love all over

Love as you Feel

<If you fee like kicking high, do it!
Do it for the way you feel
Feel in your heart and soul
Soul that is alive inside you

If you feel like laughing aloud, do it!
Do it because of the insanity
Insanity that is in you and me
Me, the one who listens to you

If you feel like giving a hug, do it!
Do it for the love and caring inside
Inside of you, thats what counts
Counts on who you are

If you feel like singing, do it!
Do it for the joy in your heart
Heart of gold that cares for me
Me, the one who is in your heart

If you feel like laughing with someone, do it!
Do it for the feeling of happiness
Happiness that should be there
There, the place in your body that loves

If you feel like thinking, do it!
Do it for the dreams that linger
Linger in your mind with no end
End of nothing thats important

If you feel like kissing me, do it!
Do it for the love you want to feel
Feel for the life you live
Live in peace of body and soul

If you feel like loving me, love me!!
Love me because you care
Care for the things I feel
Feel from my heart to yours!

Days After

The years have flown by so fast
Where has the time gone by?
I've met many people, present and past
The life I'll live will be different

That day will soon be for me

No more school, no more teachers
There won't be homework, I'll be free
My freinds will explore new places

I remember kindergarden
Everyone took naps and had cookies
We said "yes ma'am" and "I beg your pardon"
The tables and chairs were small

Lets see, first grade, I lost my teeth
We all got stars, pluses and minuses
At Christmas we made cratepaper wreaths
Games were played in gym

Then there's second grade
'Happy Days' first came on the air
I wouldn't kiss a boy if I was paid
We had recess every other hour

Oh boy, third grade, at last
We all thought we were big shots
Talent shows and girls ran fast
Science fair, I did it on plants

Gosh, fourth grade, I chipped my tooth
We learned about Indiana History
Kids lie, and always told the truth
I was a patrol guard and wore a belt

Fifth grade we were the oldest
My school only went so far
There was a boy, Doug Marcum, a pest
My boyfriend was David Artibey

Sad times, sixth grade, I moved
I've kept in touch with only one
Carrie was there when I bruised
When I moved I thought I'd never fit

Jr. High school begins, seventh grade
I was late for the first day
I walked so much, I wasn't out of breath
No more recess, give me a break

Eighth grade, stat for second year
I'm stat for Basketball and Cross Country
Locker clean up, where's Kelly and Nat?
Dances and Soc Hops, how fun

Another school, the Sr. High, a freshman
Remodeling time, so we're crowded
I took French, "Parlez vous francais?"
So many clubs, so much to do

My sophomore year, I fell in love
This was a year for new experiences
I get my drivers license, I drove
Football games, wrestling meets

Junior year, break ups and a new love
Hobart Marching Band, here come the clowns
Listen to me, Listen to love, Let me be free, like a dove
Psychology taught me lots

The time is here, my senior year
I've done my homework, I've had recess
I'll be on my own, what I can't bear
Tears are in my eyes

The years were great
I've had lots of freinds and fun
My freinds will be with no hate
We'll laugh at old times

As for everyone involved here
The Days After school, will drag
Reunions will be grand with a tear
School days were special to me

Decisions have to be made
All of us seniors are adults
We've learned and we've paid
I wish I was young again
