Our Love Born Of God's

The soul bears marks that never fade ~ although our footprints can...
as ever changing winds are played upon the shifting sands
through which we sift and sojourn toward a destiny unseen...
ever seeking God's reward ~ the purpose of our being.
Imprinted deep but only glimpsed before on earth we trod ~
the meaning of our lives is sensed... the fingerprint of God.
Our destiny in Heaven displayed, known well to heavenly Hosts ~
on earth reclusive; oft portrayed by whispering, worldly ghosts.
Charged with stoking in each soul the warm and glowing light
that guides us in our earthly role and ever must burn bright.
If we are, as we live on, to once more find our way
through earth's black night to Heaven's dawn; all evil kept at bay.
Their whispers I have always heard, close by and ever true...
throughout my life they carried word ~ God's plan for me was you.
Even as a little child, to one soul I was bound...
though far from me in time and miles, he'd been by angels found.
Taken gently by the hand, he, too, knew in his heart,
God for his life a purpose planned, and would reveal his part.
Deep within him burned the flame that gave birth to her soul ~
so bereft and in such pain ~ so hungering to be whole.
We wandered long and lost in life, down many hidden paths...
each with no end ~ devoid of light ~ none leading to the half
of each spirit, incomplete, and yearning for the One
God fused to us with lightning's heat before He made the sun.
Years slowly passed, each heightening more our sense of grief and loss ~
as through our hearts life's daggers tore, to leave us bruised and tossed
alone and frightened on the waves of stormy, churning seas...
souls at risk ~ and yet sustained ~ by shared and searing needs.
We loved before we came to earth ~ before the dawn of time...
where none but God gives spirits birth, their unions made divine.
Holy unions worldly life may only briefly dim ~
by God's hand forged, immune to strife ~ alive so deep within.
The very essence of our being ~ woven tightly through...
that which gives existence meaning ~ my holy bond to you.
'Twas this bond's flame, of God's own fire, that in our earthly course
remained our deepest hearts' desire ~ extinguished by no force.
Desire that conquered every foe and would not be denied ~
fueled by what the angels know ~ a love no man may try.
This was the power that bouyed us through the raging storms of life...
your bond to me and mine to you has vanquished pain and strife.
God never burdens loving souls with more than they can bear ~
His time for ours to be made whole at last, my Love, is here.
Every obstacle that stood between my heart and yours,
God has rendered right and good ~ and shall for evermore.
What He created and decreed at time's eternal portal,
within our every earthly deed abides pure and immortal...
vestiges of fusion in God's vortex of creation ~
His eternal love within still guides at every station.
Consecration in His plan ~ oasises of faith...
set in motion by His hand and given by His grace.
His lantern lit the stoney paths our earthly feet have trod ~
leading us to each at last, in faith and love of God.
What was forged at life's threshold ~ what God Himself designed ~
what the angels had fortold throughout our earthly time...
one year ago today reborn ~ at last made whole on earth ~
the mending of a fabric torn and destiny's rebirth.
Again and ever in the arms of our one true Love ~
safe once more from every harm... and blessed by God above.
Ne'er to leave the other's embrace ~ ne'er again to part...
two souls now fused in time and space, as destined from the start.
To find on earth what Heaven gave, and then forever keep
God's gift of love defeats the grave ~ abiding, pure, and deep.
We are one again at last, and ever shall it be ~
the search now over, sorrows past ~ God gave you back to me.
As it has each passing day of this unfolding year...
our love rekindled lights my way unto your heart so dear.
So it shall forever be ~ as it has always been...
my soul with yours and yours with me ~ a union without end.
Free forever and unmarred by earth and hell's constraints,
to live and love beyond the stars, unfettered by restraints.
Found again and brought once more together for all time...
Our union safe from all alarms ~ our souls forever entwined.
Cradled in the Father's arms ~ our love born of His own,
nestled safe and far from harm ~ never more to roam...
within a place of pain and tears ~ of hunger unappeased ~
for God has banished every fear and all our sorrows eased.
He's shown us every passing day, with miracles and light,
that He has brought us all this way ~ unto a future bright.
Abrim with joy, the depths of which are known to but a few...
it's guilded, woven fabric stitched with strands of love for you.
And bound by them I'll ever be , my cherished, precious One...
I to you and you to me ~ beyond the stars and sun.
Wherever you go, whatever you face ~ it will not be alone...
for deep within you is my place ~ and God has brought me home.
