Through The Cosmos We'll Go On...

Through the darkened universe, when all have found sweet sleep,

when God the stars in Heaven's dispersed; the moon its vigil keeps...

I fly to you, my One, my Love, through luminant mists of time ~

upon the gossamer wings of doves to fill the place that's mine...

the room you've readied in your heart, so sanctified and pure...

my home has been there from the start ~ eternal love endures.

I hover near you as you rest ~ drink deeply of your grace;

behold in you all that attests God's presence in man's place.

Kissing softly your sweet lips ~ caressing your dear brow;

whispering love before I slip to where my heart dwells now...

deep within your tender soul ~ cradled and kept safe...

where I find peace and am made whole; immune to time and space.

Within your spirit's quiet womb to nestle, warm and deep...

by your love's silken bonds cocooned as in your heart I sleep.

You held safe as well, my Love ~ both now and for all time...

for God has sent my hawk his dove ~ our souls forever entwined.

To fly together unrestrained and frollick in the stars ~

sorrow's torrents quelled and tamed by love that God made ours.

Constant in the other's embrace for all eternity ~

on earth and when our Lord we face, together we shall be.

As we were born and e'er remain ~ united by God's hand ~

a love that conquers grief and pain... a love that has no end.

Awaited through life's trials and tears while just beyond our grasp...

hungered for throughout the years that had between us passed.

Now through the cosmos we'll go on, together toward the Light...

God's woven strands of love's pure bond will guide us through each night.

Beyond our final earthly breath and all that's been foretold ~

beyond the touch of pain and death ~ a love no grave can hold.

This is the Gift our God above upon us has bestowed ~

immortal, everlasting love bathes us within it's glow.

We'll fear no more the darkest nights, nor any evil force ~

for in His Gift shines forth the Light that Satan's efforts scorns.

Sleep well, my One, in my embrace, beneath the moon and stars...

in this continuum of space ~ and each that God makes ours.

For now our journey is as One, across eternal sands...

transcending earth ~ beyond the sun ~ until with Him we stand.

Beside and in you I shall be, each moment of each day...

now and for eternity ~ together we shall stay.

No more to us applies "until" ~ for our Lord has decreed

that for our love there's only "still" ~ as hand in hand you lead

our loving souls, forever fused, into our destiny...

by God's own Light of Love infused for all eternity.

And as we blaze a path through time, my heart shall beat with yours...

the hand yours holds will e'er be mine ~ possessed for evermore.

For God has with His mighty power surrendered me to you ~

to be brought forth unto full flower in all I say and do.

The universe has found it's plumb and balanced our lives' scales...

our love reborn;  forever young ~ and by no force assailed.

Rejoicing in the moon's soft glow and in the sun's warm light...

learning what the angels know and ever burning bright ~

beyond the time that earthly life wanes gently and is dimmed...

by God ordained as man and wife ~ and ne'er to part again.
