Easy Blinds Border Tutorial
(Paint Shop Pro 6)

NOTE:  I lost this page of the tutorial when xoom.com shut down and had to redo it.  Hopefully, I have explained the steps well enough.  E-mail me if you have any problems.

  1. Select an image or tube of your choice.

  1. Set your background image to the color desired.  Choose Image>Add Borders.  Top=0; Bottom=0; Left=10; Right=10.  Be sure Symmetric is not checked.

  1. This is how it should look so far.

  1. Using the magic wand, select either border.

  1. Choose Image>Effects>Blinds with Width set at 5 and Opacity set at 59.  Only Light from left/top should be checked.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other border.

This is how it should look when done.  Now we're ready to add the body.
