Mahto is a porcelain doll I make. Here he is with his bow and arrows on his back. I love to make Native American things. I have many different dolls that I make. This one is my favorite.

Marau is a plains maiden. I love her face, it is so perfect and serene. [IMAGE]

Ina is Mahto's wife. There is a sweetness to her face I love. [IMAGE]

Marau and Raven. I thought they looked perfect together. Like sisters. [IMAGE]

Some traditional, old style plains ragdolls. Made from brain tanned deerskin. Their wigs are made of buffalo beards. I worked hard to make these little ladies and it gave me a real appreciation for Native American mothers hundreds of years ago. To make such a toy for a child would be a true labor of love.
