Bible Scripture: John 8: 31
If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free....
Father, in this quiet moment I seek the ultimate joy of life: I come simply to abide in Your presence. I would not interrupt what You have to say to me with chatter. I need You more than anything that You can provide for me. Make me as ready to listen as I am to talk. You have created me for communion with You. I thank You for speaking to me in my soul.
Now I hear what You have to say to me: I am loved, forgiven and cherished by You. You have plans for me: a personal will for me given to me and no one else, a will You will reveal to me hour by hour, day by day. The deepest longing of my heart is to know and serve You. Thank You for speaking to me in the Bible, through trusted friends and in the confluence of circumstances. I open my mind and heart to receive You -- my Lord, Savior, Peace and Power. "AMEN"
