If you were to ask anyone this question:

Eternal life is not a "QUANTITY" of life or time.

Eternal life is a "QUALITY" of life.

Lets get the definition of ETERNAL LIFE from the Bible:

"And this is LIFE ETERNAL, that they might KNOW Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent".
-1 John 17:3

You see... Eternal Life is: "KNOWING" God.

In Luke 1:26-38, you can read how the angel of the Lord came to the virgin Mary and told her she was going to bear a child (Jesus).
And Mary's reply was..."How can I have a child since I "know" not a man??".

Then the angel told her how the HOLY GHOST would come upon her and the power of the Highest shall overshadow her and she would have a child and He shall be called the Son of God.
Verse 38:

And Mary said, "behold the handmaid of the LORD; be it unto me according to thy word". And the angel departed from her.

Man, that is powerful!!!
Please... meditate on this.
This should be OUR prayer.

Genesis 4:1 says:

"Adam "knew" his wife and bare Cain".

"and Cain "knew" his wife and bare Enoch".

We can clearly see that to "KNOW" God is to have a very close and "intimate relationship" with Him.

Did you know that all ministry is "born" out of this intimate relationship?

Do you have this kind of relationship with the Lord??

Is your knowledge of GOD an intellectual knowledge..
based on doctrine of men?...
Is it based in a "religious" knowledge or tormenting fear of a "mean" God?..

Are you "trying"...by doing good works to "KNOW" God?...
Do you have a misconception that if you do good...then...you will KNOW God?

The Pharisees were a very religious group in Jesus's day..they "knew" the Scriptures, they "knew" the Law and probably kept it better than any religious group in history...
you wanna know what Jesus told them?...

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me...And ye will not come unto me, that ye might have life."
--John 5:39-40

Have you, my friend..truly come unto Jesus...?
Maybe you have, but don't have the intimacy with Him as I spoke of earlier...
or the intimacy that you once had...

May I pray with you...?

Oh, Father.. we come to you in the name of Jesus...
Lord, forgive us of our sin...
cleanse us, God, from all unrighteousness by the blood of your son, Jesus Christ...
Jesus...be the LORD of our life in a greater measure from this day forth...

We want to "know" you in an intimate way...
We come unto you now.. O GOD...change our heart in every area that it needs changing...
In the mighty name of JESUS I pray...Amen.
