Just a little about me. My "Attic"
my past and my today!

I was born February 29,1944, in San Francisco
A War baby...dad in the Army! My Mom traveled
from Chicago, by train, to be with him,
when she was 6 months pregnant.
So I left my heart in San Francisco.

This was my home for only a short time, when
I was 6 months old, we headed to my home town
Chicago. Here I grew up, here is where my roots
are. Family ever present, all things good, my
childhood. No regrets, no abuse, only love
and a closeness, I have passed on to my Children.

Graduated from high school in 1962, Married
my childhood sweetheart in 1964, had my first child
in 1966 and divorced in 1968. That's my 60's Nutshell

1969, brought me a new love, and the man that I've been
married to since 1970. Our life together has been
one of up,downs, joys, trials, but most of all love.
Our son was brought into this world in 1978, a much
wanted child. One we thought we would never have.

In 1978, we started our own business in
Michigan. Being very successful, too fast,we
burned out and gave it all up in 1982, to move to
Florida and try our hands at living off the land.
Well it's really, really hard to take the city
out of the girl! And after a year, decided it
was time to try to get back into the real world!
We moved to another part of Florida, and tried
our hands at several low keyed employment
opportunites. Like selling produce, flea marketing
side jobs, the whole non corporate field!
But this got boring too...LOL...and we where
soon, running a very successful Boat repair
business, along with a Marine Supply Store and
Bait and Tackle Shop! Yep, back to 24/7!!!! Trying
to get rich again! NOT!

In 1992, it was time again to change
our lifestyles! This time a little more dramatic
We bought a sail boat and sailed away! Yep!
Sold all our belongings, shipped the good stuff
to my sister, and went to sea! Said I'd give it
a year...it's now 7 years later,and although
we are now comfortably docked at a Marina,
The Floating Boat is our home.
Don't know how long we will be on it.
Our son, has a fiance and his own place.
We're fortunate, enough to have our daughter
living in the apartment complex, attached to
the Marina. So we are all close by.
Sometimes, here lately, I really long for
a real bed, big closets, not having to worry
about high tide coming over the piers
and a little condominium, does seem like
the way I'd like to spend my golden years.
It's cheap living this way...and a vagabond
lifestyle. But, hopefully someday I'll have
Grandkids, and I'd love to play with them
in my backyard or Florida room!

So that's it from birth to the last day
of 1999. I know it doesn't sound like a wondrous
Life, but I'm proud of it and thought I'd share
with you!
