The Sparkmans down Memory Lane

Thomas James Sparkman and Wanda Lou Grisham were married June 1, 1954 in DeLeon, Comanche County, Texas. James father Rev.T.J. Sparkman married them in the home of Jewel Grisham the bride mother. Ada Thomas and Coy Nelson were the attendents. It was a busy a day. James father had to be picked up at the Brownwood airport and in those days Wanda through she had to be with James. On the way back from the airport they noticed that the cows were out of the fence and on the road. They stopped, drove the cows back and repaired the fence. Getting home just about the time the wedding was to take place at 1:00PM. We dressed and 30 minutes later were married.
