Amos Anderson resided in Ashe County and enlisted in Company K, in Iredell County at the age of 19, on August 15, 1862. He died in a hospital at Charlottesville, Virginia, on December 8, 1862, of pneumonia. He is buried in the University of Virginia Confederate Cemetery in Charlottesville.
