1992 Age 9

Lauren started playing slowpitch softball at age 8. We spent many hours in the late evenings perfecting a smooth, level swing and a good eye for the strike zone.

Every time Lauren got on base, she was sure to score. She never stopped running unless the coach or umpire made her go back.

Her first year playing softball, her team was
