KERALA DESEEYEA VEDI- KUWAIT is formed in 1996 by Congress supporters and like minded people from Kerala who are working in Kuwait, and is , registered with the Embassy of India, Kuwait. We function as per our Constitution. Kerala Deseeya Vedi Kuwait is an independent association, with no branches outside Kuwait or have any parent body or associates.

The main objective of KERALA DESEEYA VEDI-KUWAIT is to create awareness within the Indian community towards the national problems and challenges of India in general and Kerala State in particular. We arrange a vedi (stage) to unite everybody by forgetting the political ideologies and affiliations or cast and sectarian divisions for the common cause of our nation and state.

We have conducted a number of seminars on the important national subjects. Our survey conducted in 1997 for the political reformation was well acclaimed and answered by a large number of prominent Indians in Kuwait along with social and political leaders and general public in Kerala.

We celebrate Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2nd)(National Leaders' birth and death anniversary day) and conduct seminars and symposiums on Gandhism and remember Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary (January 30th) with fasting and public prayer of all religions. These activities give the public an opportunity to rekindle the old idealism and political values to present day life. We also try to keep this spirit up to the young generation by conducting various activities for them, such as elocution speech and various other competitions for Indian students on important national subjects,

We celebrate Kerala Day (November 1st) with seminars on the current affairs and problems of Kerala State, be it political, educational, economical and so on, and keep the authorities in Kerala informed about the outcome of such discussions. We have special cultural programs of Kerala on this day.

We also participate actively with the national celebrations, conducted in Kuwait on the Independence Day, Republic Day, Onam fesitival etc. and participate with various charity activities in Kuwait.

We also try to bring the problems of NRI community to the attention of national and political leaders, seeking their assistance for the redressal of the same.
