I have a good deal of information about this branch of the family. If you want to know more please contact me personally. Hopefully I will be adding more information as well as a few photographs as time and space permits.
I have been told that Pleasant's father was Jesse Payne and that he was born in England. Pleasant is the connection I am trying to link to other families. He is listed on the census records of several counties in Tennessee (Sumner, Macon, & Smith) and Kentucky (Allen, Barren, Warren). The entire family lived right on the TN/KY line and the land was often counted in the census of both states. Several members of the family later moved to Oklahoma.
