Born June 11,1955,in Newark,NJ. She attended McMinn High School in Athens,Tn.
Graduating as the salutatorian of her class. She was granted a full Minority
Engineering Scholarship at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She
received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, while Co-oping
in the laboratory at X-10 lab. in Oak Ridge,Tn. After finishing her studies
at UTK, she continued her schooling at the University of Delaware, where
she recieved her Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. which she did not pay any fees for the degree. Then she accepted
a job at Monsanto in Houston,Tx,after working there for a few years,she
took a job at Akzo-Nobel Chemical in Houston,Tx. After 13 years, she has
been promoted twice, now she holds the position of Process and Quality Control
Manager.
