Choco Nut Carmel Bars(tastes like snickers bar if you use peanuts)
Melt over hot (not boiling) water, choc. chips and veg. shortening. Stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Pour 1/2 of melted choc. into an 8" foil lined square pan; spread evenly. Refrigerate until firm (15 minutes). Return remaining choc. mixture to low heat. combine over boiling water, carmels, butter and water. Stir until carmels melt and mixture is smooth. Stir in nuts until well blended. Pour into chocolate lined pan. Spread evenly. Refrigerate until tacky, about 15 minutes. Top with remaining melted choc.; spread evenly to cover carmel filling. Return to refrigerator and chill until firm (about 1 hour). Cut into rectangles 1" x 2". Refrigerate until ready to serve.
