Every October, Scottsdale holds a rail fair at McCormick Railway park. This activity is good for recruiting new members and getting the members of tommorrow INTERESTED.

Here is a senior member of the Scottsdale Model Railroad Club demonstrating DCC (Digital Command Control). Ed S. is often under the layout fixing electrical wiring problems.

This year, the Club stationed some members under a tent (yes, it is still very warm in Phoenix in October). The purpose was to man some demonstrations and interact with the public by helping kids put together a model RR car and also to show how to do plaster detail castings.
