Arthur Koppel was a German manufacturer of narrow gauge industrial railways, but the one thing that they did not build were locos. They sub-contracted those to other firms, mostly German. However, they did order a couple of small locos from Dickson, which I think were for a customer in South Africa.

At the end of the 19th century Koppel partnered Orenstein in founding the Berlin loco builders of Orenstein & Koppel. However the firm of Arthur Koppel stayed in business, and they supplied the overseas market. In 1917, when the US entered World War I, the US arm of the business was seized as 'enemy property'. That the business continued as a purely US company after the war.

O&K found themselves in the wrong part of Germany (Potsdam-Babelsberg) after World War II, were nationalised and became VEB Lokomotivbau Karl Marx. They continued to build locos, mostly small industrial diesels, until the mid-1980's, but I believe they are now defunct.

Meanwhile the owners of O&K had moved to West Germany and restarted the firm in Dortmund, building diesel locos, including a lot for industrial use. They got out of the loco business in 1981, and now mostly make mobile cranes and escalators (moving stairs).
