Hello, Welcome to my homepage,
I'm Auntie B.
And these are My Babies!
Norman, the little orange kitten, and Azalea, his gray sister, came to live with me in July 1995 after my long time love, Great-soul Sam, left for the Rainbow Bridge. They are the survivors of a litter of feral kittens who were rescued by a little boy from being tortured by a group of hard-hearted humans in California. The boy's mother took them to Jeri Dopp to be fostered and supported by the Homeless Cat Network. She worked hard to bring these two around and was so proud of what seemed, many times, to be a useless task, she sent me pictures of them and, upon seeing the picture of a 4-week old Norman charging the camera, his little paw up and his rubber legs struggling to keep him from falling over, I laughed for the first time since the death of Great Sam only a day or so before.
Two such sweet babies
Lil' Norman and Sweet Azalea
Norman had recovered from his terrible experience so well that he was called Stormin' Norman, for he rallied and rampaged to make up for lost time! The fighting spirit of this little orange boy recalled for me some of Sam's finest moments and I fell in love. Of course, I couldn't bring myself to separate him from his sister who sheltered behind him and looked up to him for affection and comfort. And so, three weeks after my Sam died, Norman & Azalea came to live with me. It wasn't easy in the beginning, between tears I laughed at them and found myself confused what to do with two very tiny kittens after living for so long with a grown he-cat. But it didn't take long for they are so very sweet and gentle, not to fall in love with them would have been impossible.
Norman, captain of his own ship and my heart
An intelligent rambunctious little kitten, Norman has grown into a dignified, lean, muscular he-cat who rules my home with a very gentle paw.

First ship of the Temple fleet
An orange, fire-eyed, hunka hunka Burning LOVE!
Azalea.. Mystic and stargazer
Azalea, more introspective, remains a mysterious dreamy she-cat, timid sometimes, but that makes her loving moments all the more precious.
Sean E Pi came to live with me in August 1996; another foster kitten from Jeri Dopp. He's a big, bright, fuzzy bundle of demanding feline affection, very outspoken, very sweet and very playful. I met him in Reno Nevada when the Aunties got together for our first Catvention; he was in a carrier on Jeri's lap and when I saw him, I fell to my knees and ignored everyone else and, I'm sure, Jeri smiled for she knew this loving fuzzball had a home. Norman was thrilled when I brought Pi home, at last he had a little brother he could show off to, someone he could wrestle with and boss around. Azalea was less than enthusiastic - having one brother was enough! But as time has passed, she's grown fond Pi and sometimes even washes his face for him. Pi and I stayed at Auntie Ann's house where he met Casey the Weasel who was a kitten himself and they had a great time playing together. Casey taught Pi some of the necessary things a cat should know about humans and so Pi was well prepared when I had to leave to fly home.
Little Sean E Pi meeting Casey "the Weasel"
Little Pi isn't so little anymore, at just under 2years old, he is almost 3 feet long from nose to tail tip, he weighs 15 pounds and, being part Maine Coon, we expect he will get bigger when he begins to put on his adult mass. Like Maine Coons, Pi is a gentle giant who loves nothing more than getting affection, being played with and sharing a warm cuddle under the covers at night. Norman and Pi have chosen me as their #1 human and Azalea, small delicate Azalea, has my husband firmly wrapped around her little paw. Together, Norman, Azalea and Pi have brought such warmth and affection to us; they make the house.... a Home.
My now, hasn't he grown!
Friends at the Bridge... Always loved, always missed
Mahasamatman, Great-soul Sam, was born in July, 1979; the descendent of a long line of Virginia farm-cats, he knew very little about fear and a lot about training humans. After interviewing several possible servants, he decided to adopt me when he was three months old - at least that's when I realized this kitten wasn't going home with anyone else. And, for 16 years, he was my companion, very best friend, most gentle nurse, and, as my husband called him, my #1 husband. He was possessive and loving. He was the very best. I smile when I think of him, sometimes I feel a little sad that he's gone but he took care of arrange for Norman and Azalea to carry on my care. He passed to the Rainbow Bridge in June 1995. Thank you Great Soul, you'll always be #1.
Mahasamatman, Great-Soul Sam
Peewee was Sam's very best feline friend; he adopted Peewee when he was about 3 years old and Peewee was about 1 1/2. Peewee knew a good thing when he saw it and he followed Sam wherever Sam would lead. Small, fine-boned, like a clown, Peewee made me laugh with his antics; he was a kangaroo cat capable of jumping 6 feet in the air, straight up from a seated position! He was my husband's very best pal; the one who let him know being #2 wasn't all that bad. Peewee followed Great-soul to the Rainbow Bridge in July, 1995; almost 1 month to the day after Sam went on ahead to make sure his pal would find the Rainbow Bridge a comfortable place to stay. Peewee stayed only long enough to teach Norman & Azalea everything they needed to know about the proper care and feeding of humans and then he passed away so gently as if he were merely laying down to dream a bigger dream.
