A special thank you to my aunt for writing these and letting me use them on my page. |

THOUGHTS OF MY PARENTS
When I was just a young child, Not very big at all, You held my hand when I crossed the street, And made sure I wouldn't fall.
Mom kissed away my little hurts, And nursed me, when I was sick. Because of her tenderloving care, I'd be better super quick.
When I learned to ride a bike, Daddy was so proud of me, And the first time that I caught a fish, He clapped his hands with glee.
The first day that I started school, My excitement was so high, That I didn't even notice, The little tear in Mamas eye.
I wasn't just her baby, Anymore you see, I was headed on that long road, To independency.
Then in my teens, Dad took me out And taught me to drive a car. Now I knew I was on my way, And I could go so far.
And later, when I met my love, And walked down that wedding aisle. I could feel my parents love for me, And see their tender smiles.
Now I have children of my own, For whom I must be strong, Thank God, my parents taught me, What is right and what is wrong.
They made me what I am today, And what I'll always be. And I'll love them both so very much, Throughout eternity.

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
Not loving your parents, must be a joke. It's like having an egg without any yolk.
Like making honey, without a bee. It's just something that cannot be.
Like making a sandwich, without any bread, Or a silver dollar being made out of lead.
It's impossible, you will find. When you have two PARENTS as GREAT as mine.

ODE TO MY MOTHER
You carried me for nine long months, You felt my first kick. You gave me life through pain and love, And nursed me when I was sick.
You changed my pants and washed my face, And dried my tiny tears. You held me when I hurt myself, And chased away my fears.
Through all the years I needed you, And you were always there. And when I thought no one loved me, You always showed you cared.
I've always known when good or bad, In everything I'd do. That you'd love me through thick or thin, And MOM, I sure love you.
So thank you God, for giving me, A mother such as mine. Cause, I think Lord, that she's the best, Yes, I think she's just fine. (written by Donna Saur Hueramo) |

MY MOM
Your eyes are like diamonds, That, twinkle and shine. Your skin is as soft, As a baby's behind. Your warmth and caring, Are beyond compare. Where ever you are, I know love is there. You're more special, Mom, Than words can say. So I send you my love, On this Valentine's Day. (written by Donna Saur Hueramo 2-14-97)
