My Mother is beautiful in my eyes,
A terrific lady, so kind and wise.
With skin as soft as a baby's behind,
And eyes like bright stars, that twinkle and shine.
Her hair with age, has now faded to grey,
But it steals from her beauty, in no way.
Nothing is sweeter, than to see her smile,
For it has always made me feel worthwhile.
A soft gentle touch, so tender and warm,
That I've relied upon since I was born.
Her sense of humour is great as can be,
She can always make me laugh happily.
Her kindness is cherished both far and wide,
Whenever you need her, she's at your side.
Her heart beats with love for her family,
Love that's given unconditionally.
Her soul is as pure as winters first snow,
A trusted friend to those that she knows.
She may not walk with a young girls' swift stride,
But youth in her mind and her heart abides.
If you know her, it comes as no surprise,
Why my Mother's beautiful in my eyes.

I Love You Forever, Mom
You have shown me how to give of myself
You have shown me leadership
You have taught me to be strong
You have taught me the importance of the family
You have demonstrated unconditional love
You have demonstrated a sensitivity to people's needs
You have handed down to me the important values in life
You have handed down to me the idea of achieving one's goals
You have set an example, throughout your life
of what an ideal mother and woman should be like
I am so proud of you and I love you forever

M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
"MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.

FOR MOTHER
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
And I wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you feed a stray cat,
And I thought it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make my favorite cake for me,
And I knew that little things are special things.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I heard you say a prayer,
And I believed there is a God I could always talk to.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I felt you kiss me good-night
And I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw tears come from your eyes,
And I learned that sometimes things hurt,
But it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw that you cared
And I wanted to be everything that I could be.
Then you thought I wasn't looking, I looked
And wanted to say thanks for all the things
I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.
