Mike will always be remembered by me not only as my bestfriend but also as the father I never had. Mike moved in with us when I was 4 years old , right after my parents got divorced. He always treated me like I was his daughter. He would take me places, watch me cheer, encourage me at my horse shows and just spend time with me. I remember when I was little always praying that he would marry my mom. But now I understand that they were just friends and that they could never be any more than that. My dad has always been around but, he doesn't talk to me sometimes I think that if he didn't have to pay child support then he wouldn't see me the whole nine hours he does. Even then he whines to my mom. I don't remember Mike ever whining about having to do something for me. The last time I saw Mike we were standing on my front lawn and he hugged me and told me that he loved me and that he always would no matter what. The night we got the call I was devistated. I don't think I cried that much ever, Mike was always there to lend an ear. The guy who hit Mike was going over 1OO MPH and had been drinking. Alot. I will never forget Mike Because he was not only the father I never had he was also the strength I will never regain.
