On September 10, 1990 Vincent LaManna, age 56, drove his brand-new Buick LeSabre from his home in Michigan to his parents, Frank LaManna, age 76, and Madelyn LaManna, age 74, home in Maple Heights, Ohio to take them for a drive. Shortly after picking them up his car was struck head-on by a pick-up truck that had crossed over the center line. Brian K. Sneider, age 23, the driver of the pick-up, was drunk. Vincent and his mother, Madelyn were pronounced dead at the scene. Frank died in the helicopter on the way to the hospital. Neither Brian Sneider nor his passenger were seriously hurt, but my great-grandparents and my grandfather are gone forever. Although I was only 9 years old when they were killed, the impact upon my life was great. I still think about them constantly as does the rest of my family. They are forever in out hearts.
