Hi there! My name is Tanya, however, my friends call me Tawnie. I was born and raised in Arizona and lived there all my life with the exception of the 5 1/2 years I spent in Elko, NV.
Currently I am working as a dispatcher with a wonderful police department.
My mother worked as a dispatcher for the Phoenix Police Department (She was known around the department as "Nikki", for those who may have known her). My grandfather retired from the Phoenix Police Department, as well as with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) and was also detective for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). I also have an Aunt who worked for the Phoenix Police Department as well.
My husband was a police officer with a local department in Elko, Nevada for almost 4 years and is now with a Sheriff's Dept. in Az. He is a Traffic Accident Investigator and hopes to one day end up in the narcotics division and have his own K-9. He has attended Desert Snow to help gain experience in the narcotics field. He will be in the running for Sgt. this year!
I have decided to keep this page up in order to keep our Elko friends up to date, as we still have them in our thoughts. I hope that you enjoy these pages and will do my best to get some more intresting things posted. I hope you will check back soon and get after me if you don't see any updates for a while!
