The College Board: 10 Real SATs, a set of 10 old SAT tests and tips, as well as review books and sample ACT tests are available from Barnes and Noble Book Stores and Educator's Publishing Service (800) 225-5750.

Kaplan's Higher Score on the SAT/ACT/PSAT

1. Carefully read the instructions on the cover of the test booklet.
2. Read the directions for each test carefully.
3. Pace yourself.
4. Read each question carefully.
5. Answer the easy questions first. Eliminate as many incorrect answers as you can, then make an educated guess among those remaining.
6. There is no penalty for guessing on the ACT so it is to your advantage to answer every question.
7. Review your work.
8. Mark your answers neatly. If you change an answer, erase completely.
