THE CAMEL

(Jesus said):
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. Mark 10:25.

    When camels ask, "what must we do
    if for true life we strive?"
    they find a gate they must pass through:
    the gate to kingdom-life.

    A camel at the kingdom-gate
    will see an open door,
    and hear a voice, "don't hesitate:
    come in. I went before".

    "Proud camel, with your humps so tall,
    your head is held too high;
    for you the doorway is too small-
    small as a needle's eye."

    Sad camel, head now drooping low,
    still on this side must stay;
    try as he may, it is "no go":
    his humps get in the way.

    "Say camel, tell me if you would
    what in your humps you hide;
    is it too valuable, too good
    to leave it on this side?"

    "Ah camel, did you say, "my wealth,
    my brain, my mind, my wit,

Mary had a little Lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,
When it wasn't 'gainst the rules.
He made the children laugh and play,
To have a Lamb at school.

Then the rules they changed one day,
Against the law it now became.
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak His Name.

Every day got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh and play,
You heard them crying tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray.

WHAT IF

What if, GOD couldn't take the time to bless us today
because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
What if, GOD decided to stop leading us tomorrow
because we didn't follow Him today?
What if, we never saw another flower bloom
because we grumbled when GOD sent the rain?
What if, GOD didn't walk with us today
because we failed to recognize it as His day?
What if, GOD took away the Bible tomorrow
because we would not read it today?
What if, GOD took away His message
because we failed to listen to the messenger?
What if, GOD didn't send His only begotten Son because
He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin.
What if, the door of the church was closed because
we did not open the door of our heart?
What if, GOD stopped loving and caring for us
because we failed to love and care for others?
What if, GOD would not hear us today because
we would not listen to Him yesterday?
What if, GOD answered our prayers the way
we answer His call to service?
What if, GOD met our needs
the way we give Him our lives???

FOOTPRINTS

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene
I noticed FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.
Sometimes there were Two sets of FOOTPRINTS
Other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only
One set of FOOTPRINTS.
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord
That if I followed You, You would walk with me always
But I noticed that during the most trying periods
Of my life, there has been only
One set of FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.
Why, when I have needed You most, You have not been there for me?"
THE LORD REPLIED,
"The Years When you have seen only One set of FOOTPRINTS, my child,
IS WHEN I CARRIED YOU."

This handwritten copy was authenticated by a leading forensic scientist in 1997.

ANGELS ALL AROUND

When angels sense you need them
And angels always do-
They come unseen, from everywhere
To help and comfort you.
They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on...
Then some of them may fly away
And take their gentle touch
To other hearts
That need the love of angels very much.
But one, at least, stays with you
As your constant friend and guide,
For Guardian Angels never leave
They're always at your side.
