What I am going to tell you is the most brutal thing you will ever hear in your life and the most brutal thing I will say in my life but it is true, very very true. "God does not love you!" I'll say it again - God does not love you if you haven't come to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Oh my dear friend, I wish I can say the contrary but I would be lying to you. But what's more serious is that I'll be going against the word of God. God is God. Either He loves you with an all-consuming love or He hates you with an all-consuming wrath. To say that God loves you would benefit you nothing. It will just make you feel comfortable in your damned condition.

Am I saying this because I am good? Of course not! Is it because I'm holy? Of course not! Is it because I gave $5 to somebody hungry on the street yesterday? Of course not! Is it because I gave a motorist a jump? Of course not! And even if I am good and holy, how good and holy should I be before God loves me? Even if I am a million times more holy than the person who in our eyes is the pinnacle of holiness here on earth, still I will be so far short on being accepted by God. I would still be under God's wrath and bound for hell. So how dare I say that Jesus loves me? Because God says so! He said that Jesus Christ died for me. God said that Jesus Christ took my place and instead of me taking the punishment of what I deserve, Jesus took them all. Jesus was beaten, tortured, insulted and killed for me. Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment that should be mine. Thank You, Jesus!!! Why should Jesus do this for me and not for you too? What did I do that God should love me? Nothing!!! Jesus Christ did it all for me! Jesus Christ saved me from God's wrath. Adding anything to what Jesus has done for me is a damning insult to God.

Am I so arrogant and so boastful? I am so boastful about the Cross of Jesus Christ! I was a heap of garbage! I was a person ridden with guilt! I was a person so lost and who was in darkness! And I am still a sinner. How can I be arrogant?

Go to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Look to Jesus. Continue looking to Jesus.
