Hedgehog Figurines & Gifts

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~2001~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As usual, my husband is so awesome! Our anniversary is on December 24th. I thought sure he might be pulling out a Christmas gift at the last minute and giving it as an anniversary present. So of course, the wrapping is Christmas wrap along with a Merry Christmas gift tag. BUT on the tag it says to "check other side" and what do i do? I turn the present over. Nothing! He says, "Maybe it means you should check the other side of the gift tag." LOL Sure enough, the other side says, "Happy Anniversary. I love you." And he must love me...cos' who else would shower me with hedgie collectibles that have taken over the kitchen and livingroom? So above is pictured my anniversary gift and coming up next are all the figurines I received from him and the kids.
This is a darling piece! Look at the hedgehog sticking his head out of the hole in the bucket...hehehee. Cute!
The perfect picture frame!
I've always wanted a nice spoon rest (I live the simple life) but now that I have one I'm afraid of using it.....HA! Isn't that always the way?
Small trinkets.
This adorable figurine is an old boot that these hedgehogs have taken as their playground.
Ahhh...I must be really good. For our anniversary this year I received this most unusual strawberry fountain drink with two straws so we could share. Ok, it's really a candle but doesn't it look yummy!? Now, I don't think I can actually burn this candle cos' it's too pretty and cute to do so. And of course, there's a hedgehog, with a ladybug on it's nose, hanging off the side of the glass.
We are "clock" people. We have clocks all over the place. It's true but I'm not exactly sure why that is....haha! Anyway, it just made sence to get this wonderful piece. 2 hedgehogs sitting on the shelf as the clock ticks away. Each number is represented by a ladybug. What a fun piece to have.
Oh yes....a hedgehog tooth"pick" holder. LOL How ingenious! Hedgehogs carry their own "toothpicks" (really their prickles) so now I have a hedgehog that carrys *my* toothpicks for me. :-) A nice plaque that I have hanging from my bakers shelf.
What kitchen isn't complete without some sort of trivit? Now will I take a chance on ruining it and actually use this. No way!!
This is really a nice little plate. It's not part of the Bramble & Clover collection but it's special to have because it does feature the african pygmy hedgehog on it, which is the kind of hedgehogs that I have.
FINALLY!! I got the limited edition Christmas 2000 plate. I'm really excited about this because the past 2 years I missed out on getting it. It's beautiful and features 2 hedgies snuggled under a Christmas tree. It is titled Love is Timeless.
When people find out that I love hedgehogs they sometimes will be out and see something and just have to get it for me. Heehee! It's fun collecting hedgehogs. One day a friend from church, Maggie, walks up to me, tells me to put out my hand, then carefully lets this keychain out in my hand. LOL It came from Wal-Mart and she couldn't resist getting it for me. Gotta love generous people like that! :-) Now this same person is out and finds a hedgehog stamp that I couldn't live without. Boy was she right! Maggie approches me again and says, "I couldn't resist!" hahaha. I say, "Cool!"
I recieved this peice from my husband on our anniversary on Christmas Eve. I've been married one year to a man who knows exactly what I want..........hedegehogs! LOL =:-) This window is reflective with a mirror and adorned with vines and ladybugs. On the windowsill set two hedgehogs amongst some garden accessories.
This is a precious peice with two hedghogs playing around a teacup. It's also a candle. Very nice.
This is my new centerpeice for my kitchen table. Salt & Pepper shakers set and a Napkin holder.
These coasters are a nice peice to have in the collection. The only thing is that I don't know if I really want to use them. They are so nice, I would hate to damage them.
This curious hedgehog is sniffing at a ladybug on a Christmas leaf. It's really cute.
Where else would a hedgehog like to climb but up the side of a pot with a cactus in it? This is a darling accessory for potted plants.
If you enjoy candles, these 2 figurines are quite attractive and yet playful. The figurine that has the candle in the center of the two hedgehogs has one of the hedgies turned over on its back with a butterfly atop it!
This is a hanger that looks like a birdhouse. It has a hedgehog crawling down the side of it. The side of it opens up and you can place a candle inside. I think I will put greenery in mine though.
This is my favorite piece that I have so far. It has two hedgehogs playing around a sprinkling can. Also, as on most of these figurines you will notice a ladybug or two and strawberries.
These two are really fun to have. One is a planter that I will add some greenery to. The hedgehog is peeking out of the planter. Again, a ladybug is near, on the rim, to keep him company.
The other,as you can see, is a thermometer.
This hedgehog is one you can place at the end of a shelf or mantle. It will hang over just a bit and appear to be looking over the edge. I have mine in this overturned pot, just to give it my own personal touch.
Here are a few Christmas ornaments.
One is hedgehog asleep in a poinsettia flower. The middle one is a snow globe with a hedgehog in the globe itself and one on top of it, placed on a stocking. The last one is a playful hedgie on top of a bell.
Here is a hedgehog wrapped up in a santa hat, asleep, waiting for Christmas. This is a music box also. It plays, I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.
These two pictures above are one centerpeice. I wanted to show both sides of it because it has hedgehogs on both sides. You can use this centerpeice with or without the candles. If not using the candles, it has little poinsettia leaves to go in the space where the candles are placed.
My friend and neighbor, Emily, gave me "Prickles."
A TY beanie baby. It's so cute!
Another friend from church, Jane, seen these wonderful chocolates at a store and said she thought about me. I'm glad she did. The chocolates are in the shapes of little hedgehogs and very good to eat too, "Yum".
You can't feed hedgehogs chocolate, but you can eat chocolate hedgehogs.
