THEIR STORY : Malachi and Zachariah are sister and brother. As such their story starts out the same, sorta of. Anyway for practical purposes I am going to combine them here.

It was the summer of 1987, July 13th to be exact -- our neighbor's cat had a litter. Being cat people that we are, we just had to go see -- JUST TO LOOK! There was this ball of calico fluff that reminded us of Uriah and what she must have looked like as a kitten. We had gotten Uriah when she was about a 1 1/2. When we spied this little one, both of us thought this was our chance to experience what Uriah must have been like at that stage. As you can see, it wasn't taking much for us to get caught up into falling in love with another cat. Kittens being what they are, we had to wait 8 weeks before this new little bundle could make the long journey next door and home into our lives.

On that momentous day, I had to work until 9:00 p.m. I was anxiously looking forward to my return home and getting to know our new kitty. At home for about a 1/2 hour and just falling in love with her -- all the cats surrounding us, very curious and surprisingly well behaved -- THEN I NOTICE HIM! There amongst our crew, a tiny grey ball. It seems, Chris, unbeknowst to me, had decided to take this little fellow too. My first reaction was one of great upset. How could Chris make such a decision with out consulting me. And of course I told him so. After this went on for awhile, he remorsefully said he would take him back. WELL THAT JUST DID IT -- My reply was "You've already brought him here, I've had my heart touched -- "NO WAY, ARE YOU BRINGING HIM BACK!" So Malachi, our calico fluff, and Zachariah, a grey tiger, came to be part of the brood.
