The Moving Wall VietNam Vetrans Memorial

I would like to take you along to the traveling Viet Nam Memorial. This was my second visit but the first for my oldest son. As he stood in silence looking at the wall his eyes welled up with tears and he asked "Why have we not brought these men home where they belong?" He also said that so many people were there looking why was more not being done."You have written to your congressmen and to the president,If everyone that is here visiting the wall did the same then those in office would have to do the right thing". All I could do was agree with him. He is so right. That's what is needed.Wont You Help?

As we searched the wall for the name of the service man that I have worn on my wrist for so many years he was so quiet and could not believe all the names listed.

We took this pic at the wall and I thought it would make a great background. It's free to use if you would like to.

While looking around he noticed all the men who were wearing jackets that had the names of the outfits that they were assigned to in Viet Nam and remarked that he was glad that there were groups that these men could belong to that understood what had happened while they were over there.

We walked around looking at the carefully placed items. We read the poems and letters placed by loved ones and again with tears in his eyes he said "Mom, it's just not right that the government has forgotten about these men. I'm glad that we will never forget."

While walking away he said "We should all be doing everything that we can to bring these men home."
