Budgies are a subclassification of parakeets.
Parakeets differ in the fact that they are larger and stronger than the budgie.

I am not a vetranarian. I love birds, and have successfully raised birds for two decades. This page here is meant to inform and advise (using common sense) on the care, raising, and nursing of birds. If you are faced with an animal that is injured beyond resonable care, you should take that animal to a certified veternarian.
