The Goodmans in America today most likely descended from the family of the same name in England. The first Goodmans in America were recorded in Virginia. A good number of the descendants of Bartlett Goodman have roots in Greene County, Indiana, where Bartlett eventually settled. Several descendants still reside in Greene County.
