This page is a little tribute to my very good pal Shahin aka Sean. We met at good old MSU in the hydra lab. Shahin is quite the character - he's bright, he's gregarious, he's a workaholic, he's always amusing. Shahin graduated from MSU a few years ago with two majors - psychology and molecular biology. Plans for grad school or med school are in the works. Currently, he works at UMDNJ as a lab technician in a lab that studies transplant rejection. Cool stuff.
That's right. Shahin has a passion for infectious diseases. Viruses make his heart strings sing. He'd go on for hours about Ebola if you'd let him. Nothing like a little hemorrhagic fever.
Audrey Hepburn Barbie doll, wearing the "Ascot Dress" from My Fair Lady
Ok, so Shahin doesn't like Barbie dolls. At least not as far as I know... Hmmm. ::wink:: But seriously, he does have this thing for Audrey and ascots. I suppose that I have to put up with it since he listens to all my rants about Paul. I'll never forget our trip to the Short Hills mall with Chrissy in search of the perfect ascot. What a disappointing selection they had...
I'm sure you are all curious what Shahin looks like by this point. Well, without further ado, here's Shahin with his other great love - one of the planes he used for flying lessons. When I lived in CT, he would sometimes surprise me by taking his training flights to Robertson Airfield near my condo so we could chit chat in person. He made it there alive everytime! However, I remain unconvinced that getting in an airplane that size is a good idea.
To this day, Shahin remains one of the best friends I have ever had. He has always been there for me, cheering me up when things were bad, celebrating with me when things were good. I am honored to be able to have him by my side as a groomsman when Eric and I get married this May.
