Joseph Arthur Gist [1898-1950] lived and died at Cardwell, Dunklin County, Missouri. He married Nioba Cybelline Yancey [1900-1989] and they had eight children, five living to adulthood. Nioba is said to be pregnant with her eldest son in this photo.

They  are buried together at Cardwell Cemetery.
