This page is dedicated to two angels in my life....my sons.... who have offered me a smile or a touch when they knew I needed it the most. They also had the knowledge well beyond their years to know when I needed to be alone or do things on my own. Who with their presence have encouraged me to be the person I was inside. The three of us have always made it a point to "make memories". We still go on making happy ones and can only reflect briefly on the unpleasant ones and make new rainbows in our life.

After the Rain

No Tears

We never forget a person we have loved. We may remember the day, what time it was and even what we were wearing when we first felt that love. Farther down our path of life we can still conjure up the warm and wonderful feelings we had. At the time you decide to marry, you never dreamed your love would end unhappily...... so yet another memory is added......the day you decide to part. For a while you may try to forget your time together. Divorce is never easy. It doesn't even help to know that you're not alone. Half of all marriages end in divorce in the United States, with the average marriage lasting only about seven and a half years. Two people are required in order to create and maintain a cycle of conflict. Only one is needed to end it.

As time passes you recognize that forgetting is an impossible task.
You will remember and be able to seperate the good times from the bad.

The end does not always mean the end.
It might just be the beginning.
The start of a new rainbow.

Golden is the rainbow which shines through and through
Its ray of hope is the spirit and the belief in me and you.

"Divorce is a process not an event."

As Parents, the greatest thing you do for your children is to continue to love and respect each other even if there is a seperation of "You Two," there should always be the partnership as parents` your children, need "Both of you"

"'Children of divorce stop wanting their parents back together
when the children are about eighty-one years old.'
---Carl Whitaker"

AFTER A WHILE
By Veronica A. Shoffstall

After awhile you learn the subtle difference
between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't mean security,
and you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises,
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes open,
with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
and learn to build all your roads
on today because tomorrow's ground
is too uncertain for plans, and futures have
a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After awhile you learn that even sunshine
burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate
your own soul, instead of waiting
for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn...
With every goodbye you learn.

ACCEPT ME

Accept me as I am I have no guarantee.
A claim to perfection I have not. Perfect I cannot be.

I, like you.....am human. Prone to make mistakes.
Failure is not a character flaw, Just a part of the human makeup.

I live, I laugh and I also learn. My knowledge is incomplete.
I am searching all the time, in waking hours as well as sleep.

I have a long road to travel, as well as you do.
We learn our lessons on the way. Wisdom we shall accrue.

So please accept me as I am Because I am .... Just me.
No one like me in the world. That is my only guarantee.

This is how I feel I have a heart, open it and see
Please take care That's all I am, just me.

How often we wish for another chance
To make a fresh beginning.
A chance to blot out our mistakes
And change failure into winning
And it does not take a special time
To make a brand-new start,
It only takes the deep desire
To try with all our heart
To live a little better
And to always be forgiving
To add a little sunshine
To the world in which we're living.
So never give up in despair
And think that you are through,
For there's always a tomorrow
And a chance to start anew.

A PLACE FOR ME
There is a special place in life,
That needs my humble skill,
A certain job I'm meant to do,
Which no one else can fulfill.
The time will be demanding,
And the pay is not too good
And yet I wouldn't change it
for a moment -- even if I could.
There is a special place in life,
A goal I must attain,
A dream that I must follow,
Because I won't be back again.
There is a mark that I must leave,
However small it seems to be,
A legacy of love for those
Who follow after me
There is a special place in life,
That only I may share,
A little path that bears my name,
Awaiting me somewhere.
There is a hand that I must hold,
A word that I must say,
A smile that I must give,
For there are tears to blow away.
There is a special place in life
that I was meant to fill.
A sunny spot where flowers grow,
upon a windy hill.
There's always a tomorrow and the
best is yet to be,
And somewhere in this world,
I know there is a place for me.

StepsTo Happines
E verybody Knows:
You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.

S o:
You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of *being you*.

T hen:
You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.
You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due.
And you'll be a most vital mortal.

D are To Believe:
That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are a once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.
That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And you'll be able to stay one up on what used to get you down.
