My Friends

Please add your wisdom and your wit! THANKS...*s*

LIFE is a process. And in that process I feel we learn many things along the way that others can learn from ----- *smile*. Not that most listen to what we say but mostly it can be enjoyed and shared. It would be great to see entries from the net surfers out there. And have you share your suggestions and observations about life. I hope that you will enjoy this as much as I have putting it together. I had read a book by H. Jackson Brown and that was the inspiration to include LIFE on my web site.

Follow your own star.
Never laugh at anyone’s dreams.
When you feel terrific notify your face.
Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt, but it’s the only way to live life completely.
On a clear night, look for the North Star and think of me. It’s my favorite star.
Never be ashamed of honest tears.
Never miss an opportunity to sleep on a screened in porch.
When you see a box turtle crossing the road, stop and put it safely on the side.
Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, and has lost something.
Remember the three Rs: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.
Don’t overlook life’s small joys while searching for the big ones.
Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
Remember that the person who steals an egg will steal a chicken.
Meet regularly with someone who holds vastly different views than you.
Don’t waste time trying to appreciate music you dislike. Spend the time with music you love.
Be open and accessible. The next person you meet could become your best friend.
Life will sometimes hand you a magical moment. Savor it.
Be the first to forgive.
Check for toilet paper before sitting down.
Before taking a long trip, fill your tank and empty your bladder.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have, or sleep all you want.
When you say, "I love you," mean it.
When you say "I’m sorry," look the person in the eye.
Remember that the more you know, the less you fear.
Remove your sunglasses when you talk to someone.
Never lose your nerve, your temper, or your car keys.
Don’t let weeds grow around your dreams.
Everyone you meet wears an invisible sign. It reads, "Notice me. Make me feel important."
No matter how old you get, hug and kiss your mother whenever you greet her.
Never be ashamed of laughter that’s too loud or singing that’s too joyful.
When friends offer to help, let them.
Every now and then, bite off more than you can chew.
Every so often, go where you can hear a wooden screen door slam shut.
Avoid all discussions of whether anal-retentive has a hyphen.
Be cautious in conversations that begin with, "Let me be perfectly honest."
"Life is a play where performance is more important than perfection."
Use your computer every day.
Be somebody’s best friend.
Trust your memory, but "write it down!"
Seven days without being happy is one week.
Some do, Some don’t and I might.
Always accept an outstretched hand.
Slow dance.
Put a lot of little marshmallows in your hot chocolate.
Wear audacious underwear under the most solemn attire.
Resist the temptation to put a cute message on your answering machine...(even though I do it!)
Learn to recognize the inconsequential, then ignore it.
Don’t forget , a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.
Don’t allow the phone or your computer to interrupt important moments. It’s there for your convenience.
When someone hugs you, let them be the first to let go.
Lie on your back and look at the stars.
Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river.
Take a nap on Sunday afternoons.
Be wary of people who tell you how honest they are.
Ever so often push your luck.
Never ever watch hot dogs or sausage being made.
Don’t miss the magic of the moment by focusing on what’s to come.
Be a leader: Remember the lead sled dog is the only one with a decent view.
Never underestimate the power of words to heal and reconcile relationships.
Make somebody smile every day...( a friends mother said " If you see someone without a smile give them yours! PPP)
