~For My Best Friend ~
Maureen
Best Friends
Once in a while,
when I watch the flowers
in my garden begin to bloom,
I remember the sunpillowed days
of growing up with you.
Flowers bring back a simplicity,
a simple pleasure,
like laughing at the sky,
waiting for the rainbows,
the freedom of being a kid.
We were inseparable.
do you remember?
We were silly and young,
we had a lifetime to live
as Best Friends.
At this moment,
you are in my mind, heart, and
I hope you carry with you
the girls we once were,
daydreaming of stars and heavens
we had yet to know.
You are my dearest friend,
in my life as long as I remember it,
and when the evening moon shines bright
into the frosty air of winter
I know you will be there.
I love you.

This page is for Maureen!
We were best friends while growing
into our teenage years.
We were seperated as our paths led
us in different directions.
After 20 years , we had found each other again
And with our friendship,
It was like we were never seperated!
