~Freckles~

NOTE:  I have "LOTS" of freckles...my nickname used to be "Freckles". 

When I was younger I used to think if I got more and more freckles 

(from being out in the sun so much) that ALL those freckles....

would someday....become one big "tan".   Alas, I "still" have all those little freckles....  

AND lots of folks tried to play "connect a dot" on my arms...with my freckles as dots !

I'm not quite satisfied.

Freckles and Stripes

Freckles and stripes, speckles and spots.

The nicest of creatures love polka dots.

Look at the leopard, the ladybug too, and

any zebra you see in the zoo.

The dappled giraffe stands on delicate legs.

And thrushes and swallows lay speckled eggs.

Nature is fondest of stripes, spots and speckles

and that is the reason I don't mind my freckles.
