"The Gates to Paradise if Israel were Paradise" [somewhere in the Talmud mail me if you know where.]and that is where I met Sue who would later become my wife we met in kibbutz Kfar Ruppin near Bet Shean. I also spent a brief period in Yeshiva Ais HaTorah (Jewish Theological college called Flame of the Torah) in Jerusalem. (photos of Jerusalem) Where my hunger for knowledge of Torah was Inflamed.
We lived in London for nine months, and Sue became a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) in Kensington Temple being an Australian she went home in April 1986. And I came to Australia in late December 1986, and we married 20 days later.
Sue attended a charismatic congrecation(and having argued with every minister of the Gospell, said fine, I'll come) I did and still do believe that the Word of God is Truth! But I was not prepared for the Holy Spirrit. The Spirrit graped hold of me (no not physically, but all of my mind, my thoughts, my feelings, my emotions He grapped me by my soul) and showed me the need to be saved from my sins.
You see sin for a Jewish person is murder or adultry or some big sin, not this little stuff I had done (a little lying, a little cheating and perhaps a little stealing, but I was not a sinner or at least so I thought). Through His grace I became a believer in a Saviour, and with no other Jewish candidates that come even close to the stature of Yeshua, the choose was easy. I had strugles with other areas but no longer that I was a sinner and needed to be saved. I too can say that I am a sinner, but have been made righteous though the Messiah, I do not know where you are at but I ask you, Do you know the forgiveness of God that Yeshua brought for us, we can not obtain salavtion, it is God's gift to us, first to the Jew but also to the Gentile.
After a few years Sue and I served as home group leaders in that congrecation.
In 1992 I was elected president of the "Messianic Jewish Alliance of Australia" and officer of the "International Messianic Jewish (Hebrew Christian) Alliance". (1992 - 1994) During this time I spoke on Israel, the Jewishness of Yeshua (Jesus) and the Jewishness of the New Covenant in a number of Churches and many organizations, Attended the International Messianic Jewish (Hebrew Christian) Alliance conference in Toronto Canada. There was a change of office and a change of vision now (1998) sadly to say the Messianic Jewish Alliance of Australia ceased to exist.
In 1993 Sue and I help establish a Messianic outreach [for the Russian Jewry] called "Yeshua Tzidkenu", (which means Jesus Our Righteousness) together with Perry & Hedva Yarullin. I am glad to say that "Yeshua Tzidkenu" is still going strong (Dec 2000). And at least some of our efforts were not lost.
In 1995 - 1996 we tried to establish a english group but this failed now late 2000 it seems so long ago, although we are currently still involved once a month in teaching on God's purposes for Israel and about the Messianic and Prophetic aspects of the feast of the Lord.
At this moment I am just looking forwards to His return, and being a
husband
& a dad, but you never know if we have to wait and the right oppertunity
comes along and both my wife and I believe it to be a green light, who
knows?
From 1998 onwards I am involved in a small fellowship that meets once a month to pray for Israel. So if you want to hear me let me know.
