To Our Page... I'm Holly and my hubby's name is Shawn. Wooohooo I finally got a wedding picture on!!! For those of you that know us but don't really know us let me start off by saying... We've been best friends it seems like forever... actually we were neighbours before Shawn went away to college, that was many years ago... Now were was I .... mmm... oh yeah we've been best friends for so long, we talked about everything when we were in high school... I asked Shawn to my high school prom way back when, poor fella, was so nervous he ordered me 2 corsages by mistake. He rented a car and then locked the keys inside, and after all that I wouldn't give him a good night kiss! What I fool I was I should've gave him one... for all the trouble he went threw! Now, your wondering why we didn't date then... well, I'm a few years younger then Shawn. I didn't realize that my feeling towards him was love and didn't want to take the chance of ruining our friendship... We had the best friendship two non-dating people could have... But like all friendship, we squabbled a few years later and sorta grew apart but didn't know how to over come the squabble... It was awful... I missed my bestest friend so much but didn't know how to get him back.... Then I bought a computer.... I found out somehow that he had one, (my mom found out and was talking with him) so we exchanged emails to see if we could try to salvage our friendship... But between working and dating my boyfriend at the time I didn't seem to get the chance to talk much with him or he was busy himself.... actually I think it was more that we didn't really know what to say... So we said hello and small talked a bit.... Eventually we started chatting a bit, then I became single again... Shortly after that we began talking more and more.... then I realized that I missed him so and that I was in love with him... Now for those of you that don't really know Shawn, he is extremely SHY!!! Now when I realized I loved him, he didn't know what I felt yet, so one night on icq chat I told him that I wanted to be more then friends... Now your all wondering.... What did he say? What did he say? Lets just say he was speechless and I got my foot out of my mouth and changed the subject until we said goodnight... Well after that do you think I could sleep .......NOOOOOOOoooo........ so I decided to look for some graphics and work on my site.... About 10 minutes later Shawn was on.... so we started talking... he he he we talked till 3... or was it 5.... no 3 in the morning... Now remember this is Shawn, the shy guy, he he he, I practically had to guess at what he was trying to say... but eventually he opened up and told me how he felt.... I'll let him tell you, if he wants, but lets just say that I found out that he still loved me We started dating May 4th, 1999. We got engaged on July 1st, 2000 right after the fireworks sitting in his truck, he asked me to marry him. Of course I was so surprised cause I had no clue that he would ask me that weekend and the thought hadn't even crossed my mind during that week. Of course I said YES. We got married September 22, 2001. I've been on Cloud 9 ever since... he he he just ask a few girls at work... He's my bestest friend and more... he's my husband! For those of yous that really know me thought would be a tough relationship and let me explain to those that don't know us why they thought that... You see, we lived 7-9 hours drive from each other.
