Made oath that he enlisted as a private soldier in the year one thousand
seven hundred and seventy-seven
in the service of the United States engaged in the Revolutionary War,
for three years from the term of his
enlistment. He enlisted in Northampton Co, Pennsylvanis, was in Capt.
Isaac Koren's or (Corins) Co. in
Col James Proctor's Regiment of Artillery in the Pennsylvania Line. He
was in the Battle of Brandywind
and Germantown, served his full term of enlistment and was honorably
discharged abt. the 15th day of
June in the year one thousand and seven hundred and eighty.

The founder of the KECK line in Claiborne County, TN was Conrad "Conrod"
Keck of Northampton,
Pennsylvania. Following the Revolutionary War, he left Pennsylvania and
in 1798 he was in Orange
County, NC. In 1814, he was in Claiborne Co, TN. He settled on Hunting
Creek in the Sharp's Chapel
area. His sons also settled in Claiborne Co. and had many sons to carry
the Keck name.
By 1880, Conrad
Keck had mant descendants in Claiborn Co. In 1884, the city of Keck's
Chapell was incorporated. It was
in the Olive Hollow, Leatherwood area of Claiborne County.

Apparently Joshua joined his uncle, Phillip Keck who had settled in
Marshall C., KS

She came with her parents when two years of age to Princeton, Mercer
County, MO where they lived for a
few years, then moving with her parents to Holt County where she lived
for many years. She was united
in marriage to Joshua M. Keck, July 18, 1882. To this union five
children were born. The family moved
to Marshall Co, KS about 1911, where they lived until they retired from
the farm, at which time they
moved to Liberty.
She was converted to the Cristian religion and the Christian church in
her girlhood, and lived in that faith
the rest of her life.
She was a true and faithful wife and helpmate to her husband and a kind
and loving mother, a real
neighbor.
