      If your house is anything like my house......
      you have at least ONE child who goes..."OOOOOOOOH" when the word MATH is used!
      Face it, math is one of those boring necessaties!!!
      So I say it is TIME to make math....
      FUN!!!!!!!


      Math In Games

      Here are a few "common" games that can truly re-interate math skills!

      Yahtzee - Small children can learn how to count and add basic numbers.
      We use only the top section of the scorecard for the smaller kids (kindergarden and first grade)

      Monopoly - Not only does this teach the obvious of counting and money skills, it teaches the every day skills of budgeting! This is a great game to play with older kids who can comprehend the ideas and we use it for rainy, icky days!

      Jumping Rope - This covers not only gym class but is great to help the younger crowd learn how to count! You can count by 2's or backwards as skills improve!

      Math Magic a great site for math fun!
      Natural Math this is a great source for how to teach math!!! I love it and must admit it is one of my absolute favorites for Math!!!
