In Loving Memory of
Gunnar Alexander Bartnick
August 27, 1997
The nursery was ready and we were counting the days until
you would come into this world. You were safe and warm inside my womb,
but something went wrong. You left us before you took your first breath
or cried for the first time. You died in a warm, quiet place with just
the sound of my heartbeat as you drifted away from us.
We'll never hear your laughter or comfort your tears. No birthday candles to blow out or Christmas presents to unwrap. We've had to squeeze a lifetime together into nine short months. May God hold you close until we're together again. Sweet dreams my baby. Love, Mommy. |
