Attention: this site is going to be temporarily closed for a while. I have a billion things going on at once, and i don't want to have to worry about the Esperanzas. All the eggs are in a deep freeze unit, so they will be fine until i can catch up. Please don't fill out the form or ask to help run it. It'll be back soon :)

Hello and merry meet! I am Nyxus, the last rose dragon of the rare Esperanza class. What does Esperanza mean, you ask?

Esperanza is HOPE. WE are here to give you hope in all your struggles and trials in life, and to cheer you up!

If you would like one of us to come and live at your homepage, then you probably need to find out more about us, and what it takes to keep us! We'll start from the beginning...

Once, a very long time ago, Esperanza dragons used to live in the forests, under roots and in big tall trees. We were so happy! But then, human beings came along, and with the gradual development of our beloved homes with malls and supermarkets, we became scarce. We now live in the mountains of Columbia.

Esperanza dragons have exceptional hearing, with a range of ten miles. They have a bird-like call, much like a peacock, and are excellent climbers with very sharp claws. There are eight colors of Esperanza dragons. These are purple, red, green, blue, black, silver, yellow, and orange. There used to be rose dragons, like me, but the rest of my family was wiped out a few decades ago. I am the last. Rose dragons are the only dragons with a rose symbol on their thighs. To produce a clutch is a lucky thing indeed. But it is complicated. Only one egg of each color is laid, which means only eight eggs. The male dragon stays with his mate her whole life. I myself do not have a mate at the time. The eggs you will see have been laid by family members of mine. When the babies are adolescents, they grow very tiny wings, which grow larger in time. Their ears grow larger also. The lifespan of a dragon is 200 years, which is relatively young for dragon kind.

Well, do you still think you would like one of us to live at your page? I have some rules for you. There are NO EXEPTIONS to these rules...

-You MUST have a page for us to live on. Where else would we stay?

-When you receive an egg, it must be up on your page within 5 days of receiving it. If it is not up, your egg will be put in our orphanage. Esperanzas are very people-oriented and do not enjoy sleeping in a cold hard drive.

You must provide a link back to this page

-You must be a good caretaker to a dragon!

-It's not necessary, but Esperanzas look best on white backgrounds, due to their unique eye colors.

OK well I think that's it! Come, I'll show you the eggs...

Nyxus is not for adoption. She will only stay here with me.
