My Professional Information

This is what I want tell you about myself.

Well This is the Part where I get to brag about the Beautiful Sunshine State that I live in. I'll tell you a little about what  I do in Florida and what my dreams are for the future.
Florida:  This state is beautiful, especially the further south you go.  This is the state
with beautiful beaches, palm trees, tropical see breezes and plenty of places to visit and
to site see.  We have Disney World, Busch Gardens, Leu Gardens, Sea World, Cypress
Gardens, Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Tampa
Bay Buccaneers NFL football teams, and of Course the University of Florida's Home
of the Gators and Florida States home of the Seminoles!!! So there is plenty to see in
Florida.  If you just want to cruise up and down Florida that can be fun too.  Sometimes
I just enjoy the cruising and looking at all the lovely sites that can be seen.
I'm a recent Lake City Community College graduate. On May 2, 1997,  I graduated from the Lake City Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Landscape Technology.  I am currently working on my Associate of Arts degree. My estimated time of graduation is sometime next year. My plans are to earn a Masters Degree in Horticulture from the University of Florida's Horticulture program. RA..RA.. Go Gators!!!!!!!!
I was Secretary to the Student Government Association.  I recently earned two scholarships, one from the Lake City Community College Landscape Club and a scholarship from the Lake City Garden Club. My future dreams are to become an instructor at a Community College level teaching what I love to talk the most about. PLANTS!!   I also would enjoy working for a county extension office or for a parks and recreation department or just managing my own greenhouses.  Who knows exactly where my dreams and future will lead me.
My belief is that the more plants that we have growing on our planet, the more it will help with our environment. I believe in using plants just not for our exterior environment, but also in our interior environment. Most are not aware of the different types of interior plants that actually clean the air we breath everyday inside the buildings that we either work in or live in. There has been a lot of testing at the NASA facility concerning what plants clean our internal air and which ones clean out what type of gases that we breath. It has been noted that there is at least 45 plants up to date now that has been tested and shown to clean particular toxic gases from our air. The common Spider plant rates number one on that list. I will be adding more about plants and what they do on my Hobbies page.  I hope you will enjoy the information I give you about plants.
