TRES RANCHOS DISTRICT AWARDS

The Award Titles are links to Nomination Forms

THE DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT

This is a Council award presented upon recommendation of the District Awards Committee. It is the highest award given by the district to registered Scouters active in units and/or district involvement, who render noteworthy and outstanding service to youth. It is normally, but not necessarily, reserved for Scouters with considerable tenure who have received the District Plaque. Currently, a maximum of four Awards of Merit may be presented annually by the Tres Ranchos District. This number is based upon a percentage of the total number of units in the district.

THE TRES RANCHOS DISTRICT PLAQUE

Our district created this award to recognize those registered Scouters who have a minimum of three years as a registered Scouter (the length of time can be a factor), who have already received the District Recognition Board, and who have continued outstanding service to Scouting. A maximum of ten District Plaques are presented annually.

THE TRES RANCHOS DISTRICT RECOGNITION BOARD

Our district created this award to recognize those registered Scouters who have a minimum of two years as a registered Scouter, and who have rendered outstanding service to Scouting (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, Exploring, and/or district involvement). A maximum of twenty District Recognition Boards are presented annually.

THE UNSUNG HERO AWARD

Each pack, troop, and team is asked to select one individual in a non-leadership position who has given strong and continued support to the success of the unit's program.

DISTRICT CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION

Presented to Scouters who have rendered significant service to Scouting during the past year(s).

Start thinking now about who you want to nominate and begin collecting information for your nomination. This is our chance to show our appreciation to our volunteers. Let them know that their efforts are appreciated and valued by their fellow volunteers.
