Scouts are called upon to assist with the regional clean up of the San Francsco Bay shorelines. This is a service project which enables our scouts to work with the community on one day each year to clean up our shorelines. Each year many tons of trash is picked up by the participants.


Troop 701 cleaned the Coyotte Hills wet lands from canoes.


Saturday, September 16 is the annual Coastal Cleanup. The East Bay Regional Parks District (EBRPD) has various locations in the Tres Ranchos area where Packs and Troops can pick up litter. Pack 603 in San Lorenzo has done this in the past and the boys and their families have had a great time! The boys like to compare their collections to see who has found the most unusual item and to see who has picked up the most. It is a fun community service event, that doesn't take a lot of planning or time. Also, the boys can use it towards their World Conservation Award.
