WINTER CAMP AWARENESS

Winter Camp Awareness is scheduled for early December [see calendar for date] at 8am.at Castro Valley High School
Pre-Reg is $5.00 at the door $7.00
This is a great boy ran course about cold weather survival.

The annual Winter Camp Awareness is almost here. This seminar is ideal to get ALL your scouts ready to camp in the winter months. It is a MUST for all new boys and should be a nice refresher course for your older boys.

The topics that will be covered are: clothing, hypothermia, sleeping warm, stoves and fuel, tents and terrain, first aid and winter food. This is the largest youth run winter camp training conducted by Scouts.

This seminar will be held at Castro Valley High School. Registration will begin at 8:00am and classes will begin at 9:00. Please arrive early to avoid missing the beginning of your first class. The seminar will run till about 4pm.

The fee for this seminar will be $5.00 per person, for early registration. Late registrations will be $7.00 per person. The fee covers facility rental, a resource manual and a new patch.

Refreshments will be available in the morning for a small fee. Also a lunch of hot dogs, chips, fruit, and a soda will be available. Please pay for all food items at the seminar, NOT with your registration form (although an estimate of lunches needed is very helpful).

Call the Council Office for more information.
