Unwittingly some pet owners have contributed to animal abuse. Regularly, we receive reports of dogs being chained up continuously, or caged for long periods of time. As a result, some dogs have to be given up when they develop psychological problems.
Pets are abandoned when they
outstray their novelty. Left on their own, they are often reduced to skin
and bones. In heavy rains, some are swept into monsoon drains.
A young puppy was recently rescued from a flooded canal, paws bleeding
from frantic attempts to claw his way out.
