Summer term

14-May-98 Buddy Burners
Although the programme said "Buddy Burners" we didn't use real Buddy Burners - we actually cooked over a flame, and that was dangerous enough!

Four Guides from Cosham joined us for the evening to finish off their Blue Trefoil - I hope we didn't frighten them off, and they may eventually join us on a more permanent basis. Karen has also started to join in with Rangers a little more often.

Our menu this evening consisted of pancakes served with grated cheese, and a chocolate fondue - well it wouldn't be food without chocolate. Everyone brought something - eggs, flour, chocolate, marshmallows, milk, hundreds and thousands, cake, coke and lemonade. The food was cooked in old tin foil pie tins over a candle. It was pretty good.

Clearing up the mess took the longest, but we're just about old enough to do that without arguing too much these days.
