Chapter Two—The Breakfast Table
It turns out we still saw Chaos at the Prometheus
Acadamy, our school. I remember the day clairly as I walked into
the school feeling as if I was doomed for eternity.
“Hey Callisto,” said Starla, the goddes of the
stars. “What’s wrong?”
“He is what’s wrong.” I replied as I pointed to
Chaos, who was still following me for some unknown reason. Unfortunatly,
he sat down with us also.
“Who is he?” questioned Starla.
“Name’s Chaos.” Chaos replied a little rude.
Junior grumbled as Daphne, my nymph friend walked in.
“Hey Junior,” Daphne said as she sat down right next
to him.
“Hi.” Junior replied as quickly as he could.
“I have not seen you all summer and you never visit me
anymore baby, Why not sweetie?” asked Daphne
“Because I do not like you in that way Daphne.” Replied
Junior.
“ Oh Junior hun, you are such a tease.” Just then,
Luna, a half nymph half, something else with horns girl. Junior was
so happy to see her, because they were dating for the summer. They
were hardly apart all summer, yet they acted like they didn’t see each
other for years. Daphne looked up in surprize.
“Peaches!!” yelled Junior as he got up from the table
and went to Lura and hugged her. “Oh, I haven’t seen ya since two days
ago, andI missed ya babe.”
“Ok, Junior, you can stop hugging me now so I can breath,”
gasped Luna. Junior sat down and held
close to her. Daphne clearly was jeolous beyond belief.
“And who the hell are you ? You think you can just come
in and hang all over my man?” Daphne yelled.
“ Yeah,” said Lura, “Because he IS my man.”
“Since when??”
“Since the beginning of the summer,” Lura yelled as she
turned to face the jelous nymph. “And I don’t appreciate you making
advances on Junior, he is mine, not yours.”
Daphne was just about to yell back at her but Luna
just turned away and completely ignored her. This agrivated Daphne
but there is nothing she could do. She then talks to me and Starla.
“I just don’t see what Junior see’s in her.” Complained
Daphne. “Imean, lok at me, I just don’t get it.”
“Yeah, look at ya and you would see why,” snapped
Chaos.
“You aint exactly gods gift to men—“ I shouted
to defend Daphne.
“And you’re no Aphrodity either!” interupted Chaos.
Just then, Axl came into the cafateria. She
came in wearing the bright pink lipstick she usually wears. He sat
down on the oppisite side of us and took up most of the other side because
she is a centaurette.
“Yo Axl,” said Junior as he spared some of his
attention from Lura to speak with his friend. “Nice to see you again,
haven’t seen you all summer.”
“Yeah, tell me about it, you missed all the band
practices. Are you still in?” askes Axl.
“Yeah, I was just preoccuopied, ya know?
When is the next oneAxl?”
“Um, sometime this week, if you can find time in
your busy schedule.” Replied Axl.
“You Junior, you didn’t tell me you are in a band.”
Asked Lura.
“Yeah, babe, I am. Hey, maybe you can come
to a practice!” said Junior.
“I don’t mind,” said Axl. “You are welcome
to come Lura.”
“Yeah Luna, I could use some company,” I
said.
“Ok, I will be there.” Said Lura.
“You just can’t destract Junior from practicing.”
Said Daphne.
“I won’t! I can control myself.”
“Hey, can I come?” askes Chaos.
“No!” all present in band said.
“Fine. You know, I didn’t really want to
come anyway!” Chaos said.
All remained scilent until Hercules, Icarus, and
Cassandra came in.
“ Hey guys,” said Herc. “How are you? Did
you get good scedules?”
“Mine is ok, how ‘bout yous?” I said.
“Mine is great!” replied Hercules.
“I like mine,” Lura said, “I have classes with
Junior and Callisto. Let me see yours.” We all looked over their
scedules and found out that we had most of the same classes and we all
had the same lunch. We also found out the same about Chaos, which
was the only part we didn’t like. I was just about to complain when
the bell rang for first period.
